Darwin Flips Out

Australia’s first and largest trampoline playground, Flip Out, opening in the Northern Territory.

A first for the Territory, Flip Out is set to put a spring in the step of the Darwin entertainment scene! Expected to open its doors before the end of this year, Flip Out Darwin will offer healthy, active and awesome entertainment for Territorians and tourists searching for fun and fitness in air-conditioned comfort.

The indoor trampoline arena will be centrally located at Darwin Airport Central and will cater for birthday parties, school groups, fitness and agility classes, team building and so much more for all ages.

Flip Out marketing manager Jake Matthews is looking forward to introducing this unique and popular form of entertainment to Darwin.

“Flip Out has enjoyed a huge positive following since it’s foundation in 2012 and we look forward to Territorians joining the Flip Out Culture. Darwin you should be excited, this Flip Out will be one of our most impressive centres! As we like to say the Flip Out Culture (F.O.C.) will be represented in a strong way in Darwin. FOC yeah!” said Jake.

Flip Out Trampoline Arena first opened in Western Sydney and a series of facilities quickly followed in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC and overseas. Now the franchise will grow to include the Northern Territory.

The trampoline arena will join Kingpin Entertainment Centre at Darwin Airport Central, as the next exciting installment in a growing precinct for the Top End community. According to Flip Out Franchisee, local Nikki Rudd, Darwin is the perfect destination for her business.

“The Darwin region has so much to offer our vibrant community. But in reality the environment can be harsh and doesn’t always allow activity in the great outdoors. Flip Out Darwin is bringing high energy fun indoors, all within the comfort of air-conditioning!” said Nikki.

“There is also the added benefit of Flip Out Darwin providing real engagement with youth to vest their energy into physical and supervised social activities,” she added.

Darwin Airport Central is fast becoming the ideal location for businesses like Flip Out Darwin. Project Development Manager and spokesperson for Darwin Airport Central, Patrick Bellot, explained that the precinct is uniquely positioned.

“Darwin Airport Central is the first of its kind in the Northern Territory, strategically master planned with integrated zones for entertainment, retail, commercial and logistic operations. With its strategic location within the Northern Suburbs, anchored by Darwin International Airport, Bunnings, Kingpin and Accor Hotel Group, it is Darwin’s must-do for work and play,” said Patrick.

The opportunity for Flip Out Darwin to be built at Darwin Airport Central was one franchisee Nikki Rudd jumped at.

“It was great timing and an amazing opportunity for us to work with Darwin Airport Central, Craig Inkster of Colliers International Darwin who brokered the deal and architect Wayne Gabbert from Bell Gabbert Associates, to find and design the perfect site for Flip Out Darwin - we can’t wait to open!”
